STAGE 1
Built better than factory

Our most cost effective option. This transmission is designed to give any daily driver a reliability boost. With the added cooler installed, this transmission is designed to have a longer lasting life than the factory build while still maintaining reasonable comfortable shifts.

STAGE 2
Designed to take a beating

A perfect middle-ground option. This transmission is designed to be a great daily driver transmission and then some. Be it a little off-roading here, or some towing there, this build will do the job. Reccomended for any vehicle with 33in tires.

STAGE 3
Trail-rig only

You built your rig to conquer the trails. This transmission is designed to ensure that even in the toughest off-road situations, or pulling heaviest loads, every shift will be quick, firm and never break a sweat. Reccomended for any vehicle with 35in tires.

We're going to need a core to build so you have a few options to suite your specific needs.

  2. We'll rebuild a core here. After your get your transmission replaced, send your core back.

Warrenty for any stage transmission is 1 year, 10,000 miles

A dipstick can be added to any stage transmission for any year vehicle for $250 in additional fees, regardless if it originally came with one.

Built better than factory

STAGE 1

  • Start with a full teardown of core provided or applicable core from our storage.

  • A complete cleaning and inspection of every part within the transmission. Assessing any components for excessive wear and replaced accordingly.

  • Using a high-quality Transtec rebuild kit. All sub-assemblies are built with new seals and gaskets.

  • All high-wear bushings are replaced with OE equivalent bushings.
  • All drums are assembled using high-quality Exedy clutches pre-soaked in Dex 3 automatic transmission fluid.

  • All drums are air-tested for proper functionality, all sealing components are verified for adequate fluid flow and piston application.

  • All sub-assemblies are put back into the case and all tolerances are verified.

  • Valve bodies are rebuilt to factory specification, installed onto the cases.

Designed to take a beating

STAGE 2

  • Start with a full teardown of core provided or applicable core from our storage.

  • A complete cleaning and inspection of every part within the transmission. Assessing any components for excessive wear and replaced accordingly.

  • Using a high-quality Transtec rebuild kit. All sub-assemblies are built with new seals and gaskets.

  • Center support bushings are upgraded to heavy duty tighter tolerance bushing.

  • All drums are assembled using high-quality Exedy clutches pre-soaked in Dex 3 automatic transmission fluid.

  • 2nd Clutch setup is now upgraded from a factory 5 (or 6) friction setup to a 9 friction setup, thus providing nearly 2 times more holding power in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears via the 2nd clutch.

  • The Low Band servo is upgraded to a billet servo providing a more precise fit and thorough apply area to the low band.

  • Additionally, the low band servo is provided with precision fit o-rings to seal around the servo apply and release areas, preventing wear-based cross-leaks out of the apply or release circuits which could cause band failure.

  • A band with heavier duty lining is used to provide tighter grabbing performance in 1st and 2nd gear.

  • All drums are air-tested for proper functionality, and all sealing components are verified for adequate fluid flow and piston application.

  • All sub-assemblies are put back into the case and all tolerances are verified.

  • Valve body modifications are introduced, including the changing of the 2nd apply circuit fluid hole and the 3rd apply circuit fluid hole. Both are enlarged to provide more fluid into the apply circuit. The 2nd apply accumulator valve has a stiff spring added to ensure a less-accumulated 2nd apply, thus promoting a quicker, firmer shift in addition to the larger VB plate hole.

STAGE 3

  • Start with a full teardown of core provided or applicable core from our storage.

  • A complete cleaning and inspection of every part within the transmission. Assessing any components for excessive wear and replaced accordingly.

  • Using a high-quality Transtec rebuild kit. All sub-assemblies are built with new seals and gaskets.

  • Center support bushings are upgraded to heavy duty tighter tolerance bushings.

  • All drums are assembled using high-quality Exedy clutches pre-soaked in Dex 3 automatic transmission fluid.

  • 2nd Clutch setup is upgraded further from a factory 5 (or 6) friction setup to an 11 friction setup, now using a custom racing clutch designed for a totally different transmission. This setup will provide over 2.5 times more holding power in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears via the 2nd clutch.

  • 3rd clutch is upgraded from a factory 5 (or 6) friction setup to a 7 friction setup.

  • 3rd clutch coast sprag is upgraded to a dual cage sprag to ensure tight and secure locking against heavy tires.

  • Overrun clutch is upgraded from a 1 friction setup to a 2 friction setup, doubling holding power to help the overrun sprag.

  • The Low Band servo pin hole in the case is fitted with a brass fitting to ensure the pin bore size is tighter around the pin and will no longer wear out, causing cross leaks due to frequent application of the band.

  • The Low Band servo is upgraded to a billet servo providing a more precise fit and thorough apply area to the low band.

  • Additionally, the low band servo is provided with precision fit o-rings to seal around the servo apply and release areas, preventing wear-based cross-leaks out of the apply or release circuits which could cause band failure.

  • A band, custom-made using the heaviest duty lining available, is used to provide the tightest grabbing performance in 1st and 2nd gear. Perfect for long days on the trail when you'll spend most of your time in 1st and 2nd gear. Your band will be working hard the entire time.

  • All drums are air-tested for proper functionality, and all sealing components are verified for adequate fluid flow and piston application.

  • All sub-assemblies are put back into the case and all tolerances are verified.

  • Valve body modifications are introduced, including the changing of the 2nd apply circuit fluid hole and the 3rd apply circuit fluid hole. Both are enlarged to provide more fluid into the apply circuit. The 2nd apply accumulator valve has a stiff spring added to ensure a less-accumulated 2nd apply, thus promoting a quicker, firmer shift in addition to the larger VB plate hole.

  • The 4th accumulator is deleted.

  • Plastic washers are replaced with brass tabbed washers, ensuring breakage is no longer possible in extreme heat situations.
